Recorded in the Clerks Office. 26 May 1770 – Nicholas Boyer, resident, owned two savage children to wit: Francios, a five year old male and Margaritte, an eight year old female, both together valued at nineteen hundred livres. Same date – Henry Carpentier, resident, owned one savage women named Angelique, baptised, age twenty and her daughter, Therese one year of age. The mother was of the Pawnee nation.
