PERSONAL MENTION

Mrs. Felix H. JANIS is visiting at DeLassus, Mo.

Mr. Chas. BURKS, the hoop-pole township statesman, was in town Saturday.

Miss Mina HOLZWORTH, of St. Louis, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. SCHLOSSER, of this place.

Mr. John S. WHITLOCK, the boss architect and builder, took a business trip to St. Louis Sunday.

Miss Louise THOMURE, formerly of this place but now of Prairie Du Rocher, was here visiting on Sunday.

Our Mayor, Hon. C.C. ROZIER, and lady, to a trip to the "Future Great" on Saturday and returned on Monday.

Rev. Father KANE, pastor of the Catholic congregation at St. Mary, was in town Thursday and, in company with Rev. Father HUETTLER of this place,
honored our sanctum with a call.

Mr. Chas. JOKERST, of the firm ROZIER & JOKERST, who has been taking quite an extensive pleasure trip through Iowa, returned on last Saturday, much refreshed and well pleased with his trip.

Our energetic and accommodating young merchant on Market street, Mr. Frank FALK, went to St. Louis Sunday to replenish his stock of general merchandise and lumber. He returned on Wednesday.

Mr. Val. ROTTLER went out to Farmington last Saturday morning on business and returned Tuesday night, accompanied by Mr. John W. ISENMAN of Farmington, who has been suffering with liver complaint for some time and undertook this trip to recuperate his health.
