The purpose of this website is to make public records readily available for free to anyone who needs them, the target audience of the website is the genealogist who is researching family in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri.

Here are a few stegenevieve.net facts:

We are not an official county website, or city website.  We are a personal project that was started in 2003 for the above-listed purpose.

All resources are free and available to the unregistered visitor.  At no time do we plan to make anyone pay for any information or resources we have available.  In fact, we frown on websites that make you pay for public and historical information.

Registration is quick, easy, and painless, but also not required.  For more information on registration, please see this link.

So, please, if you are so inclined, have a look around the site and see what you can see.  Feedback is always appreciated and you will find many ways to leave comments or send emails.  Please notice that sometimes the menubar will expand and there might be "hidden" links listed underneath others.

We recently got rid of the "guestbook" feature but here are the entries that were made there - thanks for the wonderful comments, everyone!
