At her home on the North Gabouri at 11 o'clock Sunday night, March 15, 1914, with acute dilation of the heart, Mrs. Theresa Marie Trautman, at age of 42 years, 6 months and 5 days.
Mrs. Trautman was born at Zell, Sept 10, 1871, the daughter of Joseph Flieg and Rosina (Rose) Hoog, and grew up in womanhood in her native place. On Sept. 10, 1896, she was married to Charles Trautman. This union was blessed with 8 children, of whom 7 survive. The second, Veronica, having died in infancy. Surviving are: Rose, Joseph, Anton, Christina, Edwin, Raymond and Louis. She also leaves 6 brothers: Frank, Peter, Anton, Thomas, Andrew and George, and 4 sisters. Christine (Mrs. John Immer of St. Louis) Anna (Mrs. G. Hefty of St. Louis) Julia (Mrs. Nicholas Grither of Ozora), and Miss Elizabeth Flieg.
Mrs. Trautman was a good practical Christian, a faithful, loving and beloved wife and mother and a kind neighbor enjoying the respect of all who knew her. The funeral took place after a requiem at church Tuesday morning, March 17, interment being in Valle Spring Catholic cemetery, where a large concourse of friends, and relatives accompanied the remain to their last resting place. May she rest in peace.
