I've been talking to some of you about Jour de Fete...
Jour de Fete is a very large arts and crafts festival (with other attractions as well) that takes place right here in historic Ste. Genevieve every second weekend in August. That makes it the 13th and 14th of this year.
If you are near or are coming in town, I encourage you to come down. Come by my booth and help us bear the heat!
I will be in a white tent with a large sign that says "This Little Light of Mine" selling jar candles. Also with me will most likely be my husband and 10-year-old sister-in-law. :)
In some site news, I have finally finished publishing the rest of the transcriptions of the German funeral cards, transcribed and translated by Julie Okenfuss. Thanks, Julie! You can find these cards by clicking on documents to the left and then the funeral cards section.
