I can't enter the dates I have, like ~1832 or bef 1901 or aft. 1944. Why not? |

Q. I can't enter the dates I have, like ~1832 or bef 1901 or aft. 1944. Why not?
A. Unfortunately, this is just a limitation of the computers we
use so much. MySQL, a database program, which stores all of your
information does not accept extra characters into a number field and so
will change them for you, usually to 00 or 0000. You might try entering
1832 and then in the notes section stating that the date of birth is
approximate, etc.
