War 0f 1812 Fort in Saint Genevieve - 2008/06/30 16:20
During the War of 1812 brigades were formed at various areas in Missouri. The one in Saint Louis,
commanded by William Clark held 5 battalions. At Saint Charles there were 3 commanded by Daniel M. Boone. In Saint Genevieve there were 2 battalions commanded by Nathl Cook. I wonder if there was any record of a fort built in Saint Genevieve during this event and if so where was it located.
