Born the 3 November
1826,

In Hoenigen, in the
Diocese of Paderborn.

He was made a priest
on 29 June 1855.

The deceased first
worked in St. Joseph, Mo.,

later as Pastor in
Deepwater and Hermann, Mo.,

last for 33 years in
St. Peter and Paul’s

Church in St. Louis,
Mo.

Throughout he stayed
in the best of

Memory, but above all
by the priests and members

of the St. Peter and
Pauls parish, where he

worked for so many
prosperous years.

His ultimate work was
in the confessional.

On Wednesday in Holy Week
he became ill,

worsened and did not
recover.

After a short
difficult illness, strengthened

early on through the
Sacraments of the Church,

he died gently and
devoutly on 13 April 1898.
