PERSONAL MENTION

Mr. E.A. ROZIER, of St. Louis, came down on a visit Thursday night.

Miss Mary KUNTZ, of St. Louis, is visiting the family of Mr. C. BANM.

Mrs. R.G. CAMPBELL, of St. Louis, is here visiting her mother, Mrs. MENARD.

Miss Katie VALLE, of St. Louis, is visiting Misses Lucy and Constance
ROZIER.

Miss Josephine DUPONT of St. Louis is spending a few weeks in town, the
guest of Mrs. E. KERN.

Mr. A.C. HERTICH went to Perry Co., last Monday evening on business. He
returned Wednesday.

Miss louise SHAW, of St. Louis, is spending a few days here with the family
of her brother, Mr. Hy. S. SHAW.

Mr. Theodore DEFFNER left for Mascoutah, Ill., last Friday night, where he
has secured a position as teacher.

Miss Mina SCHLOSSER, who has been spending a few weeks at home, returned to
St. Louis last Monday on the Hudson.

Mrs. Hy. HERMANN and Mrs. Ed. BLANDFORD, of Farmington, are here visiting
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. FRICHETTE.

Our young friend friend, Joseph A. LAWRENCE, and Hy. ELDERS, of Lawrenceton,
paid our sanctum a pleasant call on Monday last.

Mr. Chas. WILDER, of the enterprising firm of WILDER Bros., was in St. Louis
this week laying in a new stock of seasonable goods.

Mr. M.S. SHAW took passage on the Elliott Monday morning enroute for
Jefferson City to attend the State convention as a delegate from this
county.

Among those who attended the picnic at St. Mary last Wednesday from town we
noticed Rev. Father WEISS, Rev. Father HUETTLER, J.P. GUIGNON, J. YEALY, Ed.
ROZIER, J. VORST, jr., Chas. BEAUVAIS, Jules JANIS, Chas. SCHNEIDER, Clay
ZIEGLER and Miss Josephine VORST.

Judges GRIFFITH and HUCK, Judge PINKSTON, Hon. M.A. GILBERT, T.B. WHITLEDGE,
Jno. CLARY, Chas. LAWRENCE, Dave HUBER, Chas. GREEN, George BOND, Frank
VOELKER, John SHEARLOCK, B.S. PRATTE, and August GRIFFITH were in town this
week attending Co. Court.
