An interesting marriage celebration was that at the residence of Col. Norman J. COLEMAN on Wednesday last. The contracting parties were Mr. Frank
NICHOLSON, a graduate of Washington University, and upon whom was recently conferred the exceptional degree of Master of Sciences, and Miss Katie Ruth ARNER, who graduated from Memorial Hall from the same institution ten days ago. Miss ARNER looked very charming in her costume of embroidered wull(?).
She made a great impression at the recent performance of the Latincomedy, in which she sustained the role of the slave, Trachalio. The parlors were
crowded with the relatives and friends of the young couple, and the knot was tied by Rev. P.G. ROBERT, of the Church of the Holy Communion. The bride was given away by her uncle, Col. Norman J. COLMAN. Prof. W.B. POTTER was the groom’s best man and the bride was attended by the dainty little bridesmaids Miss Clara COLMAN and Miss Mamie CUMMINGS. Her mother, Mrs. M.L. ARNER, was present, as were her sister, Miss Annie ARNER, her aunt, Mrs. N.J. COLEMAN. At the close of the ceremony they received the congratulations of their friends and then an elegant repast was indulged in, furnished by BEERS. The presents received were numerous and handsome, including cases of silver, silverware, jewelry, bijouteire, books, fancy work, etc. Among those present were Col. Norman J. COLMAN and wife, Mrs. M.L. ARNER, Miss Laura K. COLEMAN, Miss Maggie ARNER, Miss Clara COLEMAN, Miss Mamie CUMMINGS, Dr. and Mrs. CUMMINGS, Prof. WOODWARD and wife, Capt.
