This cemetery is located near St. Mary, MO. To get there, take Sycamore Street from Highway 61. Turn right on Cemetery Road. Keep following this for a little while – you won’t miss the cemetery, it will be on your left. There are several large gates that you can enter through. View Map. You might want to take a bit of protection with you, just in case. When I visited this cemetery in January of 2007, there were several dogs running wild and being quite unfriendly. I didn’t get to see the whole cemetery or get a transcription because of this, they were quite uneasy with our presence (I also had my three-year-old with me) and kept coming closer. I was not going to take the chance of going to their end of the cemetery or by staying too long.
We currently do not have a transcription of this cemetery but here are a few photos you might enjoy.
I will add more photos as they come available as well as getting a transcription as soon as I can!

In few years ago, we stopped at St. Mary’s, MO and visited this cemetery to look for Jesse Townsend and I found his last name but not his first name and also, I saw either his first wife or second wife, Mary. Also, I wonder do they have Jesse Townsend obituary notes because he is only oldest resident. I think he died in 1929 or before. He is great-great grandfather.
Sincerely,
Billy Trendle
